Simplicity

A single bloom

A double leaf of dandelion

A triple cup of water

Four breaths to calm the mind

Five minutes sweeping with the bristled broom

Six syllables to utter a prayer

Seven thoughts reflecting on the dharma

Eight folks near, not to neglect

Nine steps around the tiny Zen Garden

Ten times daily to recall Being There!

(Rishika says: of course, do not insist on counting per se, but imbibe the simplicity of Simple Living and High thinking and keep it that Way! )

  • Just note’ om mani padme hum,’ the six-syllable mantra!
